The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,  is one of the three offical philanthropies belonging to Delta Phi Epsilon. This philanthropy was adopted in 1958 and currently recieves funds raised by our chapters throughout the country to support ongoing research in hopes of finding a cure to Cystic Fibrosis. More than 30,000 children and young adults are living with this disease that shortens lung quality and the lifespan. In support of Delta Phi Epsilon's efforts, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation named a research fellowship in honor of our sorority. Nationally we have raised over a million dollars to this cause. Spreading awareness is a major component to our fundraising. Our Lambda Chapter holds an annual event, known as The 65 Roses Gala, for those impacted with Cystic Fibrosis. Last year we held a masquerade themed Gala for our Adelphi Community. Everyone who attended was able to enjoy a night of dinner, and dancing, but most importantly awareness. Bryce Harper, a young man living with Cystic Fibrosis, came to speak to our communtiy to educate and share his experiences. We raised over $2,000 at last years gala, and hope to surpass those fundraising goals this year. The 65 Roses Gala will be held on October 24th of this year.

The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders has been a second recipient of our fundraising  efforts since 1985. ANAD is a national foundation that dedicates it work to the awareness and true harmfulnesses that come with various eating disorders, such as Anorexia Nervosa. ANAD provides many services such as self-help groups, and counseling to those who struggle with this illness. Delta Phi Epsilon is  the only National sorority that supports ANAD's research and mission to help alleviate eating disorders. Here at Adelphi , our chapter devotes and entire week towards ANAD awareness. We hold various events throughout the week  in the University Center to promote positive self image throughout the campus. Our previous successes include  "Trash your Insecurities Tuesdays", "Why are you better than Barbie or Ken" and "Mirrorless Mondays", where sisters cover up all public mirrors on campus with positive messages and words of encouragement. ANAD week concludes with a Candlelight Vigil, in which awareness of the dangers of eating disorders is explained.

This year our ANAD week will be held in the Spring of 2016.

The Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation was established in 1967 to provide sisters with scholarship grants and loans for schools. The scholarship assists not only sisters, but their children in their educational studies in undergraduate or graduate programs. Within the past two years our chapter has had three sisters recieve this amazing scholarship. On the left you'll notice a picture of our sisters working one of our many tables that we put together to help raise money for the Foundation.
